Located in close proximity to the main train station and the faculties of the University of Würzburg, the Welz-Haus offers comfortable rooms, a private lecture hall and a central yet quiet location.


For longer stays, you benefit from a discount on the regular accommodation price.

The discount is automatically applied at checkout. Prices vary depending on the season.



Please note: From March 2026 until summer 2027, a major construction site will be located next to the Welz House, which will result in increased noise levels during the day in rooms 104, 206, 207, 208, 305, 306, and the lecture hall. This has already been factored into the pricing.

Important information and frequently asked questions

  • Check-in and check-out times

    Check-in is possible from 4:00 PM, check-out should take place no later than 10:00 AM on the day of departure.

  • Information about the key card

    The key card for access to the Welz House and your room is located in one of the key boxes directly to the left of the main entrance. You will receive the code for the corresponding key box by email shortly before your arrival.

  • How does the pricing system work?

    Thanks to the new booking system, guests can quickly and easily book their desired accommodation themselves. Prices are calculated based on the fixed daily rate and the length of stay. Guests benefit from the new pricing system, as longer stays are discounted. Seasonal discounts are also available.

  • How does the booking process work?

    After you have selected a room via our booking portal and submitted a booking request, your booking will be reviewed and confirmed by us. The booking is only valid once the Welz-Haus team has sent you the booking confirmation.

  • What parking options are available on site?

    There is no parking directly at the Welz House. However, there is a large parking lot called "Talavera" nearby (about a 20-minute walk) where you can park for free.
